Black Titanium is a titanium-zirconium alloy. It is hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistant, and after heat treating, it can develop a darker and glossier finish than pure zirconium (Zr702). It’s a great choice for jewelry, EDC projects, and other custom work.

The fast blackening technology we use was developed by our team at CW Materials LLC in Charlotte, NC. With a simple setup, it can create a black, ceramic-like surface in under 10 minutes. The finish is not a coating, it bonds with the metal itself, combining the hardness of ceramic with the toughness of titanium.
